Seventh Graders Qualify for the Duke Talent Search

Two seventh graders have qualified to participate in the 7th Grade Talent Search sponsored by the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP). These students scored in the 95th percentile or higher on specific verbal and math subtests of the Stanford 10 Achievement Test taken during their sixth grade year. Hayden Morton and Carson Hines will have the opportunity to take the ACT with other Duke qualifiers in December or February of this school year. The Duke TIP is committed to identifying academically talented students and to providing model programs and services to support the development of their optimal educational potential.
