Six seventh graders have qualified to participate in the 36th Annual 7th Grade Talent Search sponsored by the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP). These students scores in the 95th percentile or higher on specific verbal and math subtests of the Stanford Achievement Test taken during their sixth grade year or subtests of the Alabama Reading and Math Test. Jack Alford, Callyn Falkenberry, Chase Jones, Anna Grace Kendrick, Braxton Vick, and Levi Vick will have the opportunity to take the ACT with other Duke qualifiers in December or February of this school year. The Duke TIP is committed to identifying academically talented students and to providing model programs and services to support the development of their optimal educational potential.
