On Tuesday, January 20, Sparta Academy hosted the District III Spelling Bee at Reid Technical College in Evergreen. Representing WA were Mandy Scarbrough, Maddox Decker, Jack Alford, Gracie Crosswhite, and Grace Smith. Jack Alford won first in the sixth grade division and participated at the AISA State Spelling Bee on January 27th, where he finished fourth.
